The majestic Dolomites, called also “Monti Pallidi”, became a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2009 and it’s the ideal place for summer and winter holidays.

There are a lot hiking trails of various levels of difficulty. These trails represent one of the major attractions in the Dolomites, drawing a multitude of international mountain lovers each year. The most amazing hiking trail is the “Tridentina” with its suspended bridge. The national parks of Puez and Fanes-Sennes-Braies are an unspoiled paradise where you can enjoy the silence of nature.

Families with children can easily reach the top of the mountains with the ski lifts, most of these lifts are also open in summer. Don’t forget the beautiful falls of Pisciadù, easily accessible with a pushchair for babies.

The “Maratona dles Dolomites” (Dolomites Marathon) is an important bicycle road race with more than 10,000 riders from all over the world. It’s the biggest Italian Granfondo bicycle race. The “Sellaronda Hero” is an MTB race around the Majestic Sella outside the main road at high altitude.

The Superski Dolomites offers 1200 km of slopes and it’s the ideal place for ski holidays.

The ski slopes are guaranteed to have snow every day thanks to the thousand of snow cannons working all during the season and the snowcats that prepare the slopes every night. You can enjoy every kind of slope, from beginners to a higher level, such as the famous “Gran Risa”, from the Ski World Cup.

If you are a beginner to winter sports, there is a ski school not far from Villa Olympia (250m). The ski school offers individual and group ski or snowboard lessons.
